Study Abroad

加纳 - People on a river bank火博体育的 Anthropology faculty encourage students to incorporate study abroad in their anthropology major. Faculty especially advise students to seek out field-based study abroad programs that allow students to learn ethnographic or archaeological field research skills. Anthropology students are well-prepared for cross-cultural study abroad experiences, as they have studied the customs, traditions, values, and life of different cultures from the past and present. Studying abroad is akin to doing anthropological fieldwork in that students are immersed within another culture and must learn to understand their surroundings in order to succeed. Many of the approved anthropology programs offer students opportunities to engage in language training, participate in home stays, and complete field-based projects in cultural anthropology and archaeology. Students also participate in summer programs and field schools, often visiting and working in well-known sites around the world. 点击这里 to view where we currently offer "approved study abroad programs" globally.
